Frock Stars: 2010 British Fashion Awards Nominees

Cocktails were flowing at London's Soho House, where Britain's fashion elite gathered for the announcement of the 2010 British Fashion Award nominees.

Style maven and global trendsetter Victoria Beckham has cemented her stilettos in the fashion world with a nomination for designer brand of the year. Although she faces tough competition respected and iconic labels Burberry, Mulberry and Pringle of Scotland, this is a well deserved nod in what is set to be a successful fashion career.

Fellow nominees include Lara Stone and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley for Model of the year; creative mastermind behind Lady Gaga, Nicola Formichetti and no surprises with Phoebe Philo and Christopher Kane set to battle it out for Designer of the Year.

Chairman of the British Fashion Council, Harold Tillman believes that this years nominees are a reflection of the talent and vision that is driving the British fashion industry to becoming leaders within the industry.

"From the truly unique and inspiring collections by the designers nominated in the emerging talent categories to the remarkable impact designer brands continue to make on the industry, the creativity of our designers drives forward the British fashion industry and we're very proud to be celebrating this."
